Galatians 3:10-18 In the Old Testament, God made a promise to Abraham. God rooted that promise in a covenant that He would keep according to His own faithfulness, not Abraham’s faithfulness. Subsequently, 430 years later, God gave the law to Abraham’s descendants (the Israelites) at Mt. Sinai once they escaped from Egypt. The Mosaic covenant comes after the Abrahamic covenant and does not invalidate or cancel the promise. The law doesn’t take us to the promise – the promise takes us to the law. 1. The promise 2.
