Membership
The Seed Church maintains that church membership in a local church is an important aspect of being a Christian. The Bible teaches us to love the church. We are called to share community with other Christians in a local church for our encouragement, correction, and mutual growth in God's grace.
Church membership is a privilege, but also a responsibility. Becoming a member of a church means you are committing to serve the men, women, and children of that church with your time, your talents, and your tithe.
Therefore, this application is for the purpose of helping you to discover if God is calling you to become a member of The Seed Church. Once you have finished this application, and an elder of the church has looked it over, we will set a time to get together and talk through your application. Please understand: This is not a test. Instead, it is a set of questions to help you and the elders of The Seed Church to discern if you are ready for church membership.
If it becomes clear to both you and the elders of The Seed Church that you are ready for membership, then you will sign the “Member Covenant” and be recommended for a vote before the church body. A majority vote of the current members officially affirms your membership at The Seed Church.
