Paul says it is important for the people of God to live and behave with good conduct. If a church teaches true things, but doesn't live by those things, what will the surrounding culture think about that church or Christianity in general? 2.) Read 1 Timothy 3:1-13. Do these qualities have more to do with what someone can do, or who they are? What does this teach us about God's heart for His church? What does this teach us about faithfulness? 3.) Read 1 Timothy 3:16. Paul says that growing in godliness is a mystery, and it's all about Jesus Christ. Should we as Christians ever get bored with the simple Gospel? How can we continue to stir our hearts to adore, love, and treasure the story of Jesus?
