According to the Bible, God arranges local church bodies as he sees fit. This means that diversity within a church is God-ordained: age diversity, background diversity, vocational diversity, racial diversity, economic diversity, and more. How does this truth help us build relationships in the church? 2.) Read 1 Corinthians 12:25. The Bible says there should be diversity in the church, but not division. The opposite of division is unity. If a church is united around anything less than the Gospel of Jesus, is that good enough? Why or why not? 3.) Read John 13:34-35. Now read 1 Corinthians 12:26. How does obeying Paul's teaching in the 1 Corinthians passage help us fulfill Jesus' teaching in the John passage? Is a church being truly missional if there is not real love within the body of Christ?
