Thinking about our reward (1 Corinthians 9) Who is it for? How do we get it? Why did this confront the Corinthians? How does it confront us? Questions: Look at verses 24-27. Who will ultimately get the prize and reward of eternal life with Christ? Is it possible to be disqualified from it? Look at verses 19-23. How does this practically show us what it means to love God by loving our neighbor? Do we think enough about applying this in all the various relationships in our lives? What did Paul sacrifice for the sake of building God's Kingdom? We're not all called to this same life, but worshipful sacrifice is a central part of Christian living. Reflect together and talk openly about how easy it is to start running the wrong race for the wrong prize.
